How it plays
How Tanoth plays
Tanoth is the template many browser RPGs followed. Your hero takes on adventures that last a fixed time, earns gold and gear, works shifts for pay, and fights other players in the arena, where attributes decide most bouts with an element of luck.
Dungeons open at levels 15, 30 and 50 and take up to three companions. The 2024 relaunch keeps opening fresh worlds every few months, so a newcomer can start level with everyone else.
Your first half hour
- 0–5 minCreate or sign in to a Gameforge account in the lobby and choose the newest English world.
- 5–15 minSend your hero on the first adventures; there are ten free ones each day.
- 15–30 minTry the arena, look at what the merchant sells for gold and what needs Bloodstones, then set a work shift before you leave.
Accounts and ages
A Gameforge account is an email address you keep plus a password, and the lobby also shows Facebook and Google buttons. One account works across Gameforge's games.
Gameforge's page gives Tanoth a USK 16 label. Its terms say minors may play only with a parent's consent and once they reach the age on the label, so for Tanoth that means 16.
